ralph is
an entrepreneur, an advisor, a robotics engineer
Ralph has over 20 years experience developing tools that span software and hardware for startups, government agencies, universities, and the private sector. Most recently, as the founder/CEO of Groundtruth, Ralph led an interdisciplinary team to build products addressing global food insecurity. With the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, he designed, built, and deployed a custom IoT sensor network monitoring microclimates for over 8,000 square miles of farms in rural India (roughly the size of NJ).

As we move towards a more connected world, he is intrigued by the opportunity for technology to address challenges faced in both the developing and developed world. Ralph's graduate work on brain computer interfaces and robotics was at the University of Washington (ABD). He has a BS from Caltech where he studied mechanical engineering and computational neural systems.

Ralph serves as an advisor to a variety of startups, universities, NOGs, and public utilities. In a prior life, he designed and built houses and designed electronic security systems for facilities such as the MoMA and the Federal Reserve. Ralph likes to cook, eat, travel, and meet people who are different from him.
